Send me a ☠ and my muse will react to finding your muse dead.

the loudness in the tunnel had caught everyone’s attention, they all urged each other on faster — that the quicker they got out of that tunnel, the safer they would be. their pace quickened and the exit was in sight, but the sudden scream had caused her to skid to a stop. that voice sounded all to familiar, her stomach twisting and urging her to turn back and help, but the sudden grip around her wrist brought her eyes forward. maggie, c’mon ! sasha urged while attempting to pull her forward, but she resisted.

that sounded like glenn. those words caused the other to shake her head, her eyes pleading her to move forward so that they could flee to safety. no. her tugged her wrist free and began running back into the darkness, back to where the walkers were and that voice. as maggie disappeared, sasha looked back to bob who’d been staring at van which was in sight — people were exiting the vehicle and rushing towards them with guns ready. at this point it was hard to tell their intentions, at least until they ran past them and called them forward.

the deeper maggie went, the pile of debris was in sight and lit up by a light that wasn’t there before. she couldn’t hear the screaming anymore, but instead only saw the walkers swarming in on something… eating someone.

maggie grabbed the only useful weapon she had, that being her knife as she prepared herself to go and dispose of the walkers, but the sudden yelling of someone directed her out of the way as a hail of gunfire began to rid the undead quickly. the shots echoed through out the contained area, causing her hands to fly over her ears in a protective manner. it only a matter of minutes, the walkers were all dead in a huge pile.

the knife she held was dropped as she rushed over and sasha instinctively reacted in order to stop her, but maggie pushed her away. she needed to know, she had to know, because deep within her gut — there was a feeling telling her that that voice belonged to her husband.

as maggie began to pull at the pile of walkers, dropping them off to the side as if they were nothing but a sack of flour, a man’s voice called to her.  that’s not safe ! wait a damn minute !

did she listen? of course not. he was irrelevant in that moment.

finally, she reached the very last walker which was blocking their face, hands trembled as she reached for the collar of it’s shirt and gripped onto it tightly — but she couldn’t bring herself to move it just yet. it was like her body had become so heavy with fear, and readiness that this could very well be glenn underneath. eyes closed tightly as she took a deep breath and finally pulled the corpse out of the way. almost immediately, she dropped to her knees because the sight before her had caused her legs to go weak.

after searching this long, she had found him.

shaking hands gripped at the collar of his blood soaked jacket as this pain ripped through her entire being. her whole body was shaking now and her vision was obscured by the tears which filled her eyes. glenn… she began to shake him lightly, almost as if she was trying to wake him up from a deep sleep. glenn, please… her voice was soft at first, but soon the heaving of each sob kept her from forming words. maggie knew that it was no good, that no matter how hard she tried, he wouldn’t wake. he was gone. finally, after giving in, maggie rested her head upon his chest as her hand reached for his own. as her fingers intertwined with his own, she gripped tightly and closed her eyes, remembering how it warm it once felt.  i found you. she whispered,  i missed you, i’m sorry, i love you…

she knew what needed to be done next, that if she didn’t — he would turn. the other’s lingering close by with weapons ready were a silent reminder, but she just needed to be like this. that if she lingered like this for a little bit longer, she could recall all the times he’s held her through the night.

maggie finally sat up, her hand bringing his own to rest upon his chest. ‘ remember glenn…  with her other hand she grabbed the knife which rested upon his waist and brought it up to his head. it felt so heavy within her grip as she leaned down and prepared to do what would be the hardest thing in her life. with eyes closed she pressed her lips to his forehead,  i’m always with you. she muttered before finally stabbing the side of his skull.
